Copyright Policy

       For Hevsel Times to publish and disseminate articles, we need certain publishing rights from authors, which are determined by a publishing agreement between the author and Hevsel Times. Our copyright policy is adapted directly from Elsevier’s copyright agreement and the University of Michigan’s sample author-keeps-copyright license. The parties, for valuable consideration, agree as follows.

 

       Permission to make digital or hard copies of part or all of Hevsel Times publications for personal or classroom use is granted without fee provided that copies are not distributed for profit or direct commercial advantage and that copies show this notice on the first page or initial screen of a display along with the full citation, including the name of the author. Copyrights for components of this work owned by others than Hevsel Times must be honored. Abstracting with credit is permitted.

 

       The author has the right to republish, post on servers, redistribute to lists, and use any component of this work in other works. For others to do so requires prior specific permission and/or a fee. Permissions may be requested from the Hevsel Times Office.

 

       To publish, distribute, and promote articles, authors agree to grant and warranty some rights enlisted in our author-retained copyright agreement. As articles are published open access, authors license exclusive rights in their article to Hevsel Times. Our copyright agreement policy shows the parties' entire understanding, so it may be amended only in writing by an addendum signed by the parties. Hevsel Times is committed to protecting and defending authors’ works and their reputations. We take allegations of infringement, plagiarism, ethical disputes, and fraud very seriously.

 

  Corresponding Author’s Grants of Rights

       Authors grant to Hevsel Times, during the entire term of copyright and any extensions or renewals of that term, the following while retaining the copyright:

1. An irrevocable, non-exclusive right to reproduce, republish, transmit, distribute, and otherwise use the Work in electronic and print editions of Hevsel Times and in derivative works throughout the world, in all languages —presumably in English, Kurdish, and Turkish,— and in all media now known or later developed.

2. An irrevocable, non-exclusive right to create and store electronic archival copies of the Work, including the right to deposit the Work in open-access digital repositories.

3. An irrevocable, non-exclusive right to license others to reproduce, republish, transmit, and distribute the Work under the condition that the Authors are attributed.

 

  Corresponding Author’s Duties

1. When distributing or republishing the Work, the Corresponding Author agrees to credit Hevsel Times as the place of first publication.

2. The Corresponding Author agrees to inform Hevsel Times of any changes in contact information.

  Corresponding Author’s Warranty

       The author represents and warrants that the Work is the Authors’ original Work and that it does not violate or infringe the law or the rights of any third party and, specifically, that the Work contains no matter that is defamatory or that infringes any literary or proprietary rights, intellectual property rights, or any rights of privacy. The Corresponding Author also warrants that they have the full power to make this agreement. If the Work was prepared jointly, the Corresponding Author agrees to inform the Authors of the terms of this Agreement and to obtain their written permission to sign on their behalf. The Corresponding Author agrees to hold Hevsel Times harmless from any breach of the aforestated representations.

 

  Hevsel Times’s Duties

       In consideration of the Author’s grant of rights, Hevsel Times agrees to publish the Work, attributing the Work to the Authors.

 

  Entire Agreement

       This agreement reflects the entire understanding of the parties. This agreement may be amended only in writing by an addendum signed by the parties. Amendments are incorporated by reference to this agreement.
